This is the Custom Dollhouse I built for a client in central California. It is going to be hung on the wall as 3 units, similar to a trip-tic mirror. It has 7 rooms and the center unit is approx. 23" tall. It was created per the client's hand drawn specifications. Here is the progress as of April 2, 2007.
Feb. 18, 2007 - All 3 units are assembled. The window openings have been cut. Windows and door are shown temporarily. The sides are made with 1/4" birch. The back is 3/8" plywood. The floors are 1/4" MDF. The interior will be primered before installing the wallpaper and flooring.
March 24, 2007 - The outside windows are finished. The bottom floor window is movable and accented with a flower box. Wallpaper and flooring have been installed in 2 rooms.

April 8, 2007 - All the rooms have been completed. Siding and roof shingling are done, including a chimney. The stained glass windows have been fitted with a custom light system. After the unit is mounted on the wall, the stained glass windows can be illuminated. The room locations are as follows:
Upper left: Bedroom
Lower Left: Dining Room
Top Center: Sitting Room
Middle Center: Music Room
Bottom Center: Foyer
Upper Right: Bathroom
Lower Right: Living Room

April 15, 2007 - The client supplied her Ideal Dollhouse furniture from when she was younger. Dollhouses by JAD did the interior decorating, adding several accessories. This included paintings, mirrors, flowers, dishes, etc...

Custom clear acrylic covers were added to each unit to protect the contents from dust and it adds a wonderful finished touch! The project is COMPLETED!
